Plug and Go Compressors Systems:
Hold the UP button until the compressor shuts itself off, hold the DOWN button until the mast is fully retracted. Those are the only two controls you will need to know to operate our compressor systems. When ease of use is a requirement of yours, you won’t find anything easier than Hilomasts’ Plug and Go Compressor Systems. While you only need to know 2 operations the system is removing the moisture from the air going into your mast, oiling the moving parts, regulating the pressure and providing a 25 psi relief for one step mast extension. Getting better all the time...
Our entire broadcast range of masts have been adapted to fit wider Teflon’s. The Teflon rings in each section of a mast, in both the collar and around the piston, eliminate all metal to metal contact. Hilomast has doubled the width of these Teflon rings to suit those customers with heavy demands for their masts. With the new wider Teflon’s the speed to service is faster, the movements are smoother and the mast has a higher resistance to deflection.
3D modeling software upgrade
Our Engineering department has upgraded to the latest version of 3D modeling software. Now with 3D capabilities, we are able to design and test from scratch on screen, resizing, rotating through 360 degree points. Giving us the 3D image on screen we are able to further our design and development process and produce a realistic image of the final product. After 6 years of use, our friends at WVNS-TV in Ghent, West Virginia wanted their BR-48 mast to be rebuilt before this winter got any colder. For this repair job we sent two technicians who prepared each section, replaced the seals, then installed new bearings and hardware. When tested, the mast performed beyond WVNS-TV’s expectations. In addition, we "winterized" their mast and instructed their team on future weatherization. With our Kilfrost 400 and application schedule, WVNS-TV will not experience any down time due to weather with their BR-48 and will enjoy many years of hassle-free mast use."
